This was for a project of Mike Limm’s through Mary Power’s lab at Berkeley.  This particular part of the project involved looking at the composition of caddisfly casings, in which pine needles are placed at hydrodynamically significant angles.  This shows casings at five different stages of caddisfly development.  It was the first insect illustration I’d done in a while.
